Longer Writings

This section includes two of my papers from the year that I have selected, one from the fall and one from the spring. These process papers have gone through several rounds of revision by me, my fellow Humesters, the Humes Fellows, and the Humes faculty members. The way this course structures the drafting process has changed the way I write and approach the revision process. For example, I have been taught to start each new draft with a blank document. While I often keep a fair amount of the content from previous drafts, this method has helped me eliminate some of the mind blocking that comes from staring at a paper I have already written trying to find something to change about it.
